Yesterday, a police officer appeared in a Toronto courtroom and pleaded guilty to one count of threatening bodily harm.
Christopher Hominuk, 37, was one of the officers who responded to a call last May 24 in relation to an Etobicoke area theft. Two suspects were taken into custody, handcuffed and placed in the back of different police cars. At the time, police were searching for a third suspect.
Cameras in the cruisers recorded Hominuk going into the back seat of each cruiser and threatening the suspects. The officer held a Taser to the first suspect’s genitals and demanded to know the name of the third suspect. When the handcuffed man said he didn’t know, Hominuk is quoted on the video as saying, “If you’re lying to me, when I get you back to the station, I’m Tasering you in the f*****g nuts.”
